It has been 11 months since my last post and to be honest I was never very regular with those posts. In the past few months I have fallen in love with reading other blogs- mainly crafting, sewing and decorating blogs. I have been working on a few projects of my own at home and have decided it is time to jump back on here and share those projects with my blogger friends! So here is my project list:
Home Decorating:
-Paint my new to me cabinets for the laundry room and hang.
-Paint laundry room and possibly put up board and batton
-Make curtains for washer/dryer lift
-Finally finish my refurbished desk
-Decorate for Halloween for the 1st year ever!
-Make new curtains for kitchen
-Do something about my sewing area...it needs some serious organization!!
Sewing Projects:
-Lil Monster costume for Bug
-Possibly a holiday outfit for Sophie...exciting news if this happens but I don't want to jinx it by posting yet.
-Bug's fall peasant dress for pictures
-A dress and matching American Girl dress for my neice's bday
-Alabama and TN twirl skirts for etsy and FB pages
-Owl felt hair clip
Wow- I had better get busy!!!

Makeitandloveit Giveway
I love to read people's blogs. I love the insight into someone else's life- their homes, their families, their creativity. I get so inspired by what other women are doing- whether it be sewing or refurbishing trash into treasure. One of my FAV blogs is http://makeitandloveit.blogspot.com/. Ashley is an amazingly creative woman and is kind enough to share tutorials for all her projects. This week she is having another sponser giveaway- I never win those things- so check it out and sign up.

New Craft Project- Jewlery Hanger
The current state of my jewelry is awful. I have a beautiful jewelry box that my inlaws gave me for college graduation but all my necklaces and earrings end up in a jumbled mess. I came across this tutorial on my favorite blog- makeitandloveit- and I am so excited to try it out with a few twists of my own. I will posts before and afters once I get it complete!

Sewing Projects
Sew I am up to my eyeballs in projects with little to no time to finish them. I am currently working on:
1- Four reversible Aline dresses for Lily, Emma, Jenna and Lyla (hers is for next season). They are orange on one side and orange and white gingham on the other with matching orange and white gingham bloomers. The bloomers are all done and the fabric is cut, I need to do the embroidery and construction of the dresses.
2- A pair of black bloomers with a red name to match a friend's daughter's Halloween costume.
3- An embellished UT onesie and matching swing skirt for Lily.
4- An embellished Halloween onesie and matching skirt for Lily.
5- A trick or treat bag for Lily.
6- A reversible tote for me.
7- A reversible jon jon for Tom's coworker's son. It is UT on one side and Georgia on the other. This is my first attempt at a jon jon.
8- A UT pillowcase dress for Lily.
9- A UT top for me.
I am one busy girl!! Anyone want to come babysit Lily so I can catch up on my projects? Football season will be over before I get all these projects done. :/

Lily Bug turns 1!
On August 4th, our sweet baby girl celebrated her first birthday. To mark the occasion, Nana and I took her to the Chattanooga zoo. She saw all sorts of animals- llamas, snow leopards, snakes- but her favorite was Hank the chimpanzee. He came right over to the glass where she was standing and put his hand up to the glass. Lily absolutely loved it! Later that evening, Winborne and Tim arrived and we all went over to my parent's house for cupcakes and ice cream. Lily really enjoyed the cupcakes- what little bit made it into her mouth that is.
Coming up this weekend is her Ladybug themed birthday party!!
